The Art Guild’s Escape: Landscapes, Seascapes, Cityscapes
Manhasset, N.Y., U.S. April 10, 2022. The Art Guild’s Escape Award Ceremony.
(above photo) At center, NED PUCHNER, the Juror of Awards, poses with winners, l-r: JANA SHEINKER, “West” Honorable Mention • ANNE SIEFERT, “Meadow Clover” Honorable Mention • LYNDA SCHWARTZ, “River Runs Thru It” Second Place • DENIS PONSOT, “Kuerner Farm, PA” First Place • HOWARD ROSE, “Sagaponic Pond” Third Place • BARI FAGIN, “Evolution” Honorable Mention – at The Art Guild’s Escape reception.
The Art Guild’s Escape Awards Ceremony and Reception offered a varied, inspiring collection of art, which was no surprise.
EDWARD “NED” PUCHNER, the Juror of Awards, is the Executive Director of Gallery North in East Setaucket. He earned his PhD. in art history from Indiana University (where my younger brother John earned his advanced degree and worked.)
It was the first event I used my Nikkor Z 24-100mm f/4 S lens with the Nikon Z9 to capture photos. When I saw fellow photographer STEVE SILBERSTEIN, who also uses a Nikon Z9, we heartily agreed the mirrorless camera’s focus is amazing.
Though I didn’t take many photos that afternoon, the camera and lens combo was a solid fit for the occasion, which also was no surprise.
