When I unexpectedly decided to capture some of the colorful and bold pictures and people at Huntington Arts Council’s Opening Reception on March 29th, I used the best, and only, camera on me: my iPhone.
It turned out the Friday night fun was too good to pass up covering at the Bright Colors Bold Strokes, Creations of Lowbrow Art exhibit.

Angela Tigner, the model for the Big Top Circus bareback rider, came to the reception with her two daughters.
Artist Eileen Palmer’s 50″x30″ textile mixed media collage “More-a-Logo” has a large pink flamingo made of fabric, buttons, rhinestones, old maps, wallpaper, and designer labels including Tiffany & Co, Christian Dior, and Lilly Pulitzer.
Palmer and several of her friends and fellow artists sparkled with themed accessories, such as glittery pink and white paper crowns, pink leis, and pink flamingo pens.
